The purest form of love this earth will ever see is the love shared between a mother and a child.

 

A black mother, despite her circumstances, will work to create a peaceful environment for her seed to laugh, live and grow.

​

But unfortunately, even the sacred soil of a mother’s love or a children’s playground can be penetrable by bullets.

 

While we may grow numb to the sound of the gunshots, we never lose our humanity. We understand the insanity of our condition. We mourn for the lives that we carelessly take for granted and the sacred love we impede upon.
